Regional Sourcing - Great food, locally produced
Fresh local milk from farms in Devon

What is localchoice milk?

Localchoice milk is sourced from smaller family run farms and sold at Tesco stores in, or close to, their county. It is produced to the highest animal welfare and environmental standards, as is our standard milk.

How does buying localchoice benefit my local community?

Smaller, family run farms can struggle to balance their costs. We pay our localchoice farmers more for the milk they supply, over and above the high rate we pay farmers that supply our standard milk, and one of the highest prices paid to any producers in the country. Therefore, by choosing to pay a little bit more for localchoice milk, you are helping to support your local farming community.

Is it available in my store?

Localchoice milk is currently available in all Metro, Superstore and Extra stores in England & Wales, with stores in Scotland and Northern Ireland planned to be added later this year.

I can’t get localchoice milk yet so what are doing to support the farmers that supply standard milk?

As part of our commitment to helping the British Dairy industry we will now have a direct relationship with all our dairy farmers. We are in the process of raising the price we pay to around 22p per litre for standard milk – one of the best prices paid by any supermarket – with no increase to the price you pay in our stores.
