What is Fairtrade?
The FAIRTRADE Mark is an independent consumer label appearing on products to guarantee that disadvantaged producers in the developing world are getting a better deal.
The FAIRTRADE Mark guarantees that products meet Fairtrade standards. Fairtrade Labelling Organisations International (FLO) sets the international Fairtrade standards which all producers are certified against. For more information about Fairtrade, visit www.fairtrade.org.uk
What is Fairhills?
Global Fairhills has set the trend for the implementation of one of the most successful Fairtrade certified initiatives (combining environmental, production, quality and most important human factors) in the world and is set to become the most well-known wine brand in the world to carry the FAIRTRADE Mark within the next 2 years; it has already pushed for the top spot in the United Kingdom with regards to sales and consumer perception.
The Fairhills brand is not only about the wine - through Fairtrade certification, the producers receive a fair price for their grapes, and workers and their families benefit from the Fairtrade premium which is used for community development projects. Fairhills sets itself on harmonizing the relationship between employer and employee and production practices with environmental regulations.
